Meet The Team
Boudino de Jong
Boudino moved to the Netherlands from his native Curaçao to attend the University of Groningen, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in International Business and his master’s degree in Business Administration – Strategic Innovation Management. He became a Personal Banking Investment Advisor at the Groningen branch of the Dutch multinational banking corporation ING Group. He subsequently did an exchange at the University of Barcelona, where he attended a workshop on Entrepreneurship and majored in European Integration, Economic Policy, and Market Consumption Sociology.
Sometime after he resumed his studies in the Netherlands, he founded and became the Managing Director of Profound in 2012. Throughout his stay in the Netherlands, he kept close ties with the Caribbean, becoming involved in two enterprises: Don Caribe and Skempi. The latter is an online music streaming platform for independent artists worldwide, now an offshoot agency of Profound, and the former is a virtual logistics provider to retail and consumer markets, in which he was the CIO (Chief Innovation Officer). With his return to the island in 2015, he continued to develop Profound into the marquee digital agency it is today, rolling out several new innovative platforms such as the widely successful loyalty program Skenicash and further specializing in FinTech to bring about disruptive innovations in the financial sector.
Gino co-founded Profound’s offshoot agency Skempi with Boudino and has been a Managing Director at Profound since 2016. He has been a key factor in the agency’s immense growth and subsequent entrance into international markets in the ensuing years, providing a helicopter view on the different activities to optimize its services. He has also played a pivotal role in elevating the agency’s organizational culture, having launched a series of intellectually stimulating courses under an initiative titled Profound Academy. These courses help sharpen the mental capacity of Profound employees, which subsequently elevates their work performance.
Gino attended Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in International Business Management and immediately thereafter his master’s degree in Strategic Management, in which he graduated cum laude. His talent for leadership and ambitious mindset shined through as he climbed the corporate ladder at the Dutch asset management firm Robeco, going from sales agent to several management positions in a span of four years. In 2012 Gino returned to his native island Curaçao, where he worked as a Senior Consultant at Bearingpoint Caribbean and later as Commercial Director at Extura (2016).

At Profound we understand that culture marks one of the most fundamental elements of our organization’s long-term success. That is due to our organizational culture, which is structured around company mantras that drive our attitudes towards our work and our long-term goals.
Every day, we use our understanding of technology and its impact on people to transform society at scale, in a responsible way. The ideas we have, the innovations we create and the partnerships we develop…all have a ripple effect that changes the lives of the people in the communities that we serve. Moreover, the way we innovate, collaborate, operate and deliver value is grounded in our core values and shared business ethics.
We’re building better societies by focusing on giving attention to the less fortunate members of our society, animal welfare and awareness, environmental sustainability, the youth and economic growth for our island.. New technologies, combined with our partnerships and the passion of our people, are transforming the way we work—enabling us to change not just one life but the lives of many for the better.
