CurLoveCare: Curaçao’s new sexual health platform

CurLoveCare: Curaçao’s new sexual health platform

Sexual health information should be honest, accessible and free of stigma. But many young people in Curaçao struggle to find reliable information in their own culture and language. CurLoveCare is changing this. This new platform provides young people with a safe and accessible space where they can find everything about preferences, education, self-love, empowerment and sex positivity.

What makes CurLoveCare unique is that it was created by the youth, for the youth. Until now, they’ve often had to rely on Dutch or American websites that don’t always reflect their reality. CurLoveCare changes this by providing an informative and inclusive space – available in Papiamentu, English and Spanish – where they can find the knowledge and support they need.

From concept to reality
CurLoveCare was created in close collaboration with sexual health experts and a youth committee. Digital agency Profound brought the platform to life from start to finish, handling everything from concept and strategy to design, digital design (UX/UI), photography and panel research. All organizations involved are dedicated to fostering an environment where open conversations about sexuality are normalized.

“At Profound, we’re incredibly proud to have brought this meaningful project to life. This platform gives young people access to the right information and helps encourage an open, healthy conversation about sexuality,”
– Gino Jacobs, Managing Director Profound

To reinforce the relatability, a professional photo shoot was organised to capture a diverse and vibrant Caribbean community – ensuring that the platform isn’t just informative, but also personal and accessible.

More than a website – a movementCurLoveCare.com is more than an informative website; it’s a movement to normalize discussions around mutual consent, self-love, STI prevention, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, pregnancy prevention and healthy relationships. The platform is not only a valuable resource for Curaçao’s youth, but also an important asset for media, health professionals and educators throughout the region.

“This platform is an important step towards breaking down stigmas and empowering young people to embrace their sexual health with confidence and pride”
– Nelly Rosa – FOKO

Sexual health should never be a taboo. CurLoveCare ensures that young people have access to reliable, non-judgmental information in an environment where they feel safe and heard. The user-friendly design and compelling branding contribute to a sense of community and belonging.
