Designing and developing a website aligned with industry standards
Challenge
The Dutch Caribbean Security Exchange (DCSX) is an international exchange for the listing and trading of investments. They connect investors with opportunities and play an important role in the region’s financial landscape. Their old website was running on an outdated platform. DCSX wanted a new and modern website to enhance their digital presence and the functionality of their website, to better serve their stakeholders and, importantly, align with industry standards.
The target audience of DCSX is diverse: from listing advisors to brokers and investors, all looking for different pieces of information. A key challenge for the new website was to make sure that these three target groups can navigate easily through the website and quickly find what they need.
Strategy
Rather than revamping their existing website, our approach was to start from scratch and completely rebuild the website of DCSX. To ensure that the new website serves DCSX’s stakeholders, we started with an analysis of the current website. Based on insights gathered from user data, we created a sitemap for the new website, making sure that all relevant information is easily found on the website.
Execution
Once the sitemap was created, we started designing the website, taking into account industry standards and UX/UI best practices. It was important that the website looks modern, yet also has a professional look and feel. During the process, we also adapted DCSX’s brand identity into a sleek design to better align with the website design. After we finished the design, we developed the website on a new and user-friendly platform, making it future-proof.
As a securities exchange, DCSX works with constantly changing data from various sources. To make this data easily accessible and visible on the website, we integrated multiple data sources and implemented a streamlined registration form.
Results
The result is a modern website that reflects the professionalism of a financial organization. The UX/UI design makes it easy for the various target audiences to understand what the role of DCSX is and find the information they need. Built for growth, the platform enables the DCSX team to easily add updates, keeping the website dynamic, relevant, and ready for the future.
