Designing a youthful brand identity and inviting digital platform
Challenge
Access to reliable sexual health information for young people in Curacao, Bonaire and Aruba is still far too limited. Many struggle in finding relatable, stigma-free resources, making it difficult to take well informed choices. CurLoveCare was created to bridge this gap by providing a safe and welcoming digital platform with accessible and trustworthy information. With multiple stakeholders involved, Profound took the lead in coordinating the development of this impactful project.
Strategy
Religious and cultural influences contribute to a continuing stigma around sexual health, often leading to silence around key topics such as sexual orientation and relationships. CurLoveCare aims to break these barriers. It wasn’t just about building a website, it’s about creating an inclusive, trusted and engaging platform for all genders and nationalities. By positioning CurLoveCare.com as the go-to source for sexual information, we hope to empower young people to make informed choices in a judgment-free environment.
Execution
We’ve placed the local youth themselves at the heart of this project. A dedicated youth committee was formed – diverse in gender and background – and has been actively involved in every stage of development. From defining the brand identity to shaping the content of the website. Their input has been crucial in ensuring authenticity and relevance, helping to create a platform that truly speaks to their needs. To reinforce relatability, a photoshoot was organized, capturing a diverse and vibrant Caribbean community, making the platform feel even more personal and accessible.
Results
Through close collaboration and co-creation, CurLoveCare now has a vibrant, youthful brand identity and an inviting digital platform. The launch of the website marks a turning point – finally offering young people in the Caribbean a safe space to access reliable sexual health information. CurLoveCare.com is more than just a website, it’s a movement to break taboos and eliminate stigma.
