Creating a user-friendly and conversion-focused car rental website
Challenge
AVIS Bonaire needed a new website that serves the ambitions of the Bonaire branch but also fits with the international AVIS brand standards. The old website was outdated and not accessible, therefore making it too difficult for visitors to rent a car.
We had to design and develop a modern and mobile-first website that makes it easy for visitors to explore available cars, discover rental options and place a booking online with ease. Simultaneously, the website had to be designed with mobile-first design, so that visitors can book a car from anywhere.
Strategy
We developed a website with a custom design that aligns with the global AVIS guidelines, while making sure to incorporate visual elements that reflect the local character of Bonaire.
User Experience and ease of use was the most important in our approach for the design. That is, because the goal was to make sure visitors can find the information they need and complete their booking with minimal friction. Therefore, the structure and layout of the website were designed to guide users intuitively from exploring cars for rent to finalizing their reservation.
Execution
Profound designed and developed a fully responsive website. The booking system is linked with the AVIS international booking system and the website includes a clear overview of AVIS
fleet with information about their service. The content layout is structured and user-friendly, and the website is complimented by 360-degree images.
We paid a lot of attention to performance and navigation, as well as mobile optimization to ensure the smoothest experience for visitors looking to rent a car.
Results
The result is a website that strengthens AVIS Bonaire’s digital presence and supports its growth ambitions.
Customers can now easily discover available cars, services and make bookings via the website. The new website is faster and more accessible on mobile devices. Most importantly: it provides a scalable digital foundation for future updates and expansion.
