Development of an engaging and inviting website for the boutique hotel
Challenge
Art Hotel Curaçao – a luxurious, adults-only retreat designed by the renowned Dutch architect Piet Boon. Blending modern architecture with local art, the hotel offers a perfect balance of serenity and luxury. Profound was challenged with developing an engaging and inviting website for the boutique hotel, but there was one catch: the hotel is still under construction. So, how do you create a visually and appealing website to draw attention to this oasis when it doesn’t even exist yet?
Strategy
The main challenge was to showcase the hotel without any real photographs. Starting the project, the hotel was in the beginning stages of construction and there weren’t any real images available. But our goal was clear: to create a website that would demonstrate the project and spark interest, encouraging visitors to get in touch with our client and make pre-bookings. We aimed to design the site in such a way that it would require minimal adjustment once the hotel is ready.
Execution
To bring the hotel’s vision to life, we started with high-quality renderings from designer Piet Boon as our foundation for the website. As construction progressed and real photos became available, we gradually integrated them, seamlessly replacing the renders to reflect the hotel’s development. Additionally, a clean and minimalistic design with subtle effects was implemented, enhancing the sense of luxury and tranquility throughout the website.
Results
Once the site was up and running, interest quickly turned into action. Visitors began reaching out, eager to secure their bookings. The goal is achieved, guests are exploring the website, contacting the client and even making reservations – even before the hotel has officially opened its doors.
