Creating a digital experience that reflects the essence of Bida Island
Challenge
Bida Island: a private island, unlike any other beach on the coastline of Curacao. It’s a curated escape designed to offer something quieter and finer. As the beach prepared to welcome its first guests, our primary objective was to create a digital presence that introduces the concept. This was to be done by expressing the island’s unique identity and showcase its culinary vision, spa rituals, private celebration and event experiences. The goal was to design and develop a website that reflects the elegance and authenticity of the brand, and guide visitors smoothly from inspiration to reservation.
Strategy
The project began with a kick-off session in which we discovered more about the vision of Bida Island. As a new concept, Bida Island needed more than just a website, but a digital impression that was strong enough to be reflective of the entire brand experience. We translated the essence of Bida Island into a clear site structure, elegant design direction brought to life through responsive development. The strategy was simple: make visitors feel the calm nature of Bida before they even arrive. With this in mind, we built a structure that highlights key actions: booking a beach day, scheduling a spa treatment, requesting a private event, and following the upcoming events.
Execution
The website was designed by centralizing the guest experience from the start. The site flows with the vibe of the beach itself: soft, seamless and stylish. We paired User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) best practices with rich visuals, cinematic photography and warm-toned typography to mirror the atmosphere of Bida Island. When adding details, we made sure that every little element was developed to feel just as luxurious as a day spent under the palms.
Results
The launch of the Bida Island website was an important milestone for the brand’s online presence. The website played an important role in the launch of a new and unique concept. Now, guests can explore, connect and book their perfect beach day with ease, all while getting a true sense of what it means to spend a day at Bida Island.
