Skenicash is a digital raffling agency launched by Profound in Curaçao with sweepstakes and a loyalty program in which consumers can win various prizes at the end of every month. It is a raffling solution that uses QR code technology and makes it hassle free for the merchant to organize the prize raffling and for the consumer to participate. With every minimum purchase of ANG 10,00 participants receive 1 digital raffling seat by scanning their Skenicash card. Raffling takes place every end of the month and winning card numbers are announced on the website, social media, newspaper, radio and television. This agency was conceptualized when we noticed that raffling campaigns being offered in Curaçao were fragmented and cumbersome to organize.
So we saw an opportunity to introduce a centralized digital raffling solution that makes it hassle free for the merchant to organize raffling and for the consumer to participate. With Skenicash, consumers get a monthly chance to win cash prizes up to ANG 5000 and a car is also raffled every quarter. With the addition of each new merchant to the Skenicash program, the monthly prize pool also grows. Skenicash focuses on the frequency of purchase instead of total amount per purchase. This is accomplished by giving away 1 raffle seat per purchase of ANG 10 and up, regardless of the total amount.
In November 2018 Skenicash was awarded the Innovation prize by the Curaçao Innovation & Technology Institute. And in 2019 they paved new ground as they initiated the Money Blizzard game in which contestants enter a concealed bounce house with money flying around and get the chance to grab as much cash as they can. They also introduced the ‘Webu di Oro (Golden Egg)’ feature in which consumers get the chance to win small prizes instantly when they scan their Skenicash card.
